"NOT FOR THE WEAK AT HEART!"

~~~~ THE WILD BUNCH SEASONAL SHOW ~~~~
The Wild Bunch Show circa 1856~ The Mayor's Quick Draw Contest will determine once and for all, who is the fastest gun in the West~
~WELCOME CITYSLICKERS~
~We recommend you view our Site in Full Screen~ Wild West Audio tracks provided~ Thanks for the visit! The Wild Bunch~
Show Program
The Wild Bunch Saloon Gals distribute this program card to the audience prior to each performance of 'The Fastest Gun in the West'.
~~~ Whirling Guns ~~~
Not for the faint hearted! Our Show, from start to finish, is one fast draw contest after another until only one gunfighter is left standing!

Yes! You are in our Show!
The Wild Bunch not only wants you to watch our show, we want you to feel what it must have been like to have been alive during this exciting and turbulent era of the Wild West. So accordingly, we always incorporate the audience into our shows. The entire audience, willing or not, becomes the town residents, circa 1856, and has to go one on one with the overbearing town Mayor and his bodyguards. You never know what is going to happen next! Hopefully for you, if you scare easily, the Mayor will be so busy conducting his Fast Draw Contest that he will not single you out for his undivided attention! On the other hand, if you be feeling real lucky, or have a secret death wish, you just may have the Mayor's full tilt attention! Best come about 2 PM especially if you have children. The Wild Bunch sets up a huge Pow Wow Drum and encourages the kids to take turns learning how to keep up the beat. Good Luck!

Undivided Attention
Our Wild Bunch Saloon Gals are the best in the West for assisting you to a good seat, pointing the way to refreshments, a wealth of information, encouraging their favorite gunfighters, carting off said carcusses when their favorite fighter loses and even (fair warning) quite talented at passing the hat for gratuities at the end of each Show~ Yes, you can have your photograph taken with them, or any cast member, after the Show!

Yes indeedy, our Saloon Gals love to dance! We're not talking choreograghed particularly, but you never know for sure!

CISCO & PANCHO DEDICATION
The Wild Bunch dedicates our Shows to the memory and spirit of Cisco and Pancho of the Cisco Kid Television Series. This Series saved Pioneertown when the town was nothing more than a Chinese Saloon and Log Motel and had no backers anywhere on the horizon. The Series shot 40 episodes a month, sometimes, six scenes a day. Duncan Renaldo and Leo Carrillo always started and ended their shows with laughter and always managed to 'put things right' by the end of the show. Renaldo always encouraged kids to 'never fight and to be good'.

NATIVE AMERICAN DRUMMING
Prior to the Show any children that would like to experience our huge Pow Wow Drum and various Tribal tempos, can take part in keeping beat with the Pow Wow Drum. The audience is welcome to join our peace circle dance or two step shuffle. This service is only available on days when we have any number of official cast members (4) who are of Native American heritage. (photo is Cast Member Broken Arrow ~ Apache)

OUR 2008 SEASONAL SHOW
  ~Every year the Wild Bunch picks one western movie to base our Seasonal Show on. This year we have selected the movie "THE QUICK AND THE DEAD". We call our version 'THE FASTEST GUN IN THE WEST' and we use the same general format of the overbearing Mayor and his Quick Draw Contest to produce our version of the film. Since there are no set lines on our part, no matter how many times you see our show it will never seem to be the same as a prior performance. We also always incorporate you, the audience, into our shows. SHOW HOURS ARE AS FOLLOWS: Advance Seating~ 2 pm (includes Pow Wow Drumming and games for Kids)......Show Start~ 2:30 pm .......Post Show Kiddie Wild Bunch Swear In~ 3:15 pm... FOR THE OVERLY CURIOUS AND CAUTIOUS
Activities begin at 2 pm with Native American Drumming for the kids and line dance for audience. Certain members of the audience are hand picked to play roles during show and some are actually dressed in our costumes for those cameo rolls. Show begins at 2:30 with cast members inter-mixed with audience. Mayor provides cultural Opera Event for the 'town members' (former, used to be, audience). Mayor then introduces Cast and match ups for the fast draw contest starting with sign ups on the big chalkboard. Standoffs begin until only one is gunfighter is left standing. All cast members, once shot, are carried off and do not return. This act is to give the Show continuity. There are no breaks in the show to stop the flow of action from start to finish. The Show is fast moving and takes about 45 minutes once started. After the Show there is a Kiddie Swear In for kids who would like to join the Wild Bunch (which is a great photo op and takes about 5 minutes). After the Swear In, the audience is free to mingle with the Cast. The Cast is available for photos with audience members. Gold Panning and Old West Costume Photography are available to the Public after the Show until 6 pm. If you have any questions please email us using the Adios Amigos Page. Private and Corporate Shows are available including Senior and Hotel Packages that include Tour Bus Robberies, Catering and Special Show Events~

Pioneertown Carriage Rides
Come early or stay late~ before or after our shows you can ride up and down Mane street in authentic horse drawn carriages. Rates are $5 per person and includes a brief history of buildings and sites. Find out more about this great attraction on our links page- 'Palm Springs Carriages'

THAR'S GOLD IN THEM THAR HILLS
The most amazing thing about Pioneertown is that there are not 500 people walking about Mane Street from sunrise to sunset. It has got to be the best kept secret in Southern California. If you were lucky enough to visit Knotts Berry Farm back in the 1950's you would never forget how laid back the place was, with its ghost town, gold panning, and great chicken dinners. Well step into our time warp because here is a laid back ghost town with free gunfighter shootouts, gold panning, old west costume photography, and Pappy and Harriet's Saloon. P & H has the greatest bar b q chicken, steaks, and burgers this side of the Pecos. Once you discover P & H you will be hooked for life. Also P & H is an historical landmark in its own right. Horsy folks will love all the stables and endless trails. With the price of gas, Pioneertown is an easy 30 miles N. E. of Palm Springs and 15 degrees cooler year round to boot. Overnight lodging is available at the historic Pioneertown Log Motel where you can stay in the same rooms that were once occupied by legends of the Silver Screen and Television. Socals, you do not need to travel hundreds of miles to visit the Old West. Perfect for a day trip or extended multi day looping (Joshua Tree National Park is less than 12 miles away) you are going to discover Old California, just skidaddle up on thru the Sawtooths and make yourself at home. Just tellum the Wild Bunch sent ya!

* Public Notice # 2
  Our Shows are full of satire and comedy but that is not our only goal. We attempt to instill into the audience, the suspense and tension that the early pioneers experienced during those wild turbulent times of the early West~ Its one thing to set and watch a Show..... it's quite another to experience the feeling that you, personally, were really there!

* Public Notice #3
  Due to the fact the 'Wild Bunch' and 'Gold Camp Mining Company' are Professional Entertainerment enities we often are hired or booked in advance for weekend events and cannot perform with our full cast every show for the free shows at Pioneertown. For example, we are doing 2 shows the same weekend in Arizona and in Colorado. Of course, we will always offer the public entertainment on our scheduled show dates, but the format may change on occasion without notice~ You may refer to our Scheduled Events Page to cordinate your visits or email us in advance (Adios Amigos Page)~
